His motivation comes from the opportunity to help small business owners grow their businesses and provide security for themselves and their employees.
Hans Sr. has been consulting businesses with employee benefits, payroll, and financial services for over 35 years. He is licensed in all lines of insurance and received a Series 6 securities license in 2017. Prior to founding The Olsson Group, Hans Sr. worked for the largest insurance company in Sweden and handled about 500 business accounts before returning to the United States. Hans has worked closely with all the major insurance carriers over the years, building close broker relationships with Aetna, Blue Cross, CIGNA, Health Net, Humana, Met Life, Transamerica and United Healthcare. He has also received many industry recognitions “Premier Producer Chairman Level” for Aetna Small Group Benefits. In 2012, he finished as Aetna’s #1 producer for Arizona and the region. He attended the Swedish Royal Air Force Academy and Arizona State University.
A native of southwestern Sweden, Hans Sr. has lived in the Phoenix area for nearly 40 years with his wife and 17-year-old daughter. He has had the fortune of working with his son, Hans Jr., since he returned from college as an integral part of The Olsson Group. In his free time, Hans Sr. enjoys competitive tennis, going on vacations with family, good Mexican food, and playing games with friends.
